Kunle Sanni –
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has officially launched Operation Go Cashless, a new cashless and contactless payment system designed to improve efficiency and transparency in airport transactions.
The initiative was unveiled by FAAN’s Managing Director/Chief Executive, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, who was represented by the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Henry Agbebire.
Developed in partnership with Paystack, the project will begin with pilot operations at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
According to FAAN, the cashless solution is expected to streamline revenue collection, strengthen accountability, and provide airport users with a faster and more convenient payment experience.
The move underscores FAAN’s commitment to innovation, transparency, and improved service delivery across Nigeria’s airports.
