THE Falconets of Nigeria completed their 2025 WAFU B U-20 Girls Cup campaign with another victory over Benin Republic today.
The two-time FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup silver medallists had already been declared champions after winning their previous three matches, and they defeated the hosts 1-0 in Adjohoun to put icing on the cake.
A first-half strike from the competition’s top scorer Ramotalahi Kareem sealed today’s win for the Falconets.
It is the second time the Falconets would be beating Benin Republic in the competition, having secured a 3-0 win in their first meeting on Sunday.
The Falconets also defeated Ghana twice, first thrashing the Black Princesses 3-0 on Saturday and then 3-1 yesterday, with the second victory confirming Nigeria as the champions of the three-team competition.
The Falconets finished the tournament unbeaten, securing 12 points from four matches, while scoring 10 goals and conceding only one.
