Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has responded to the popular saying that celebrities shouldn’t respond to bullies.

Kemi Filani reported that Toriola had slammed a troll who mocked her for having just one child. Sharing a photo of him, she urged her fans to bombard his page with curses.

Her post didn’t sit well with many, who noted how she was bullying the man.

Responding to them, Wumi said she would retrace her steps, as she isn’t at that level anymore. She, however, made it clear that celebrities are humans too, and they bleed just like everyone else.

She stated that fame doesn’t cancel feelings and noted how silence is just a wounded human trying to stay composed.

“Okay, so I heard my previous post’s subject is a serial bully.
Ok na, we move.
Not here anymore.
Thank you all.

Some say public figures shouldn’t respond to bullies

They sometimes forget we bleed the same way

“Fame doesn’t cancel feelings, we are humans before anything else..

They say “silence is strength, but a lot of times, Silence is just a wounded human trying to stay composed”.

A few days ago, the controversial actress shared a photo of herself lying on the bed as she received drips. She stated there is no difference between internet dragging and ICU.

Back in September, her colleague Afeez Owo, in an interview, said Wumi only reacts to things when people push her, and look for Wumi’s trouble as she doesn’t take nonsense.

Not pleased with his statement, Wumi lashed out at him, questioning whether she should rent a husband to hold the mic and spoil things. She noted how Afeez is eldërly and, as such, should stop his drama. Toriola noted how, despite his unfortunate behaviours, she still respects him.

Retracing her steps following the massive backlash she received, Toriola stated that it was still all love from her end as she appreciated the public for the backlash.

The famous actress had reacted to a subtle shade from singer Adekunle Gold, who compared her to BBNaija Imisi, noting that they both have a crãzy personality. Wumi said she had repented since the beginning of the year and was now a gentle lady.

Last year, a fan of Wumi had reprimanded her for throwing shots at some of her colleagues, advising her to leave others and stop creating enemies for herself and Wumi replied, telling him to shut up.
