FashionEVO, a leading promoter of African fashion and creative talents, said it has renewed its partnership with the Africa Creative Market (ACM) and will host a fashion day on September 19, 2024, as part of the activities lined up for the forthcoming ACM 2024 week.

Dr Yetty Ogunnubi, founder of FashionEVO, who made the announcement, said: “This partnership marks a significant step forward in highlighting the innovation and creativity thriving in the Nigerian and African fashion industries. We are excited to gather industry leaders and enthusiasts to explore the future of fashion in Africa.”

She said the event will not be restricted to the usual runway affair but will feature a comprehensive fashion lineup, including exclusive interviews with key stakeholders, panel discussions, masterclasses, presentations, pop-up shops, fashion competitions, and a fashion show displaying the work of select designers.

“FashionEVO’s curated sessions will blend expertise with creativity, featuring renowned experts from the fashion and creative sectors. These specialized sessions will delve into critical topics such as “The Future of Fashion in Africa”, “Innovations in Fashion  Technology,” “Fashion  Entrepreneurship,” and “The Transformative Impact of Social Media on Fashion,” Ogunnubi said.

Dr. Inya Lawal, the convener of ACM, also avowed that FashionEVO’s participation will enhance the Fashion Day event.

“The ACM event is known for promoting growth and innovation in Africa’s creative sector. This year, the addition of FashionEVO’s expert-led masterclasses and sessions will enrich the experience, offering attendees practical knowledge and inspiration to shape the future of African fashion,” she said.
