Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo, and her lover, Tanzanian artist Juma Jux, have gotten married in a Nikkah ceremony in Tanzania; however, her father was noticeably absent.
Proud mum Iyabo Ojo, brother Festus Ojo, and Enioluwa Adeoluwa, and a few family members had flown into Tanzania for the Nikkah ceremony during the week, but her ex-husband and father of the children wasn’t among those in attendance.
This has got tongues wagging, and many speculate that he was absent because he wasn’t invited, especially as he hasn’t been involved in her upbringing since he split from Iyabo Ojo.
Iyabo Ojo had always mentioned that after their marriage ended, her children— Festus and Priscilla— did not know she had divorced their father until Priscilla was 15.
She said, “I ensured they never felt it (divorce). Every Christmas, I ensured they got double gifts from me and their dad, and I did that for a long time. Whenever they asked about their dad, I told them he was a traveller, and they grew up believing that.”

Kemi FIlani recalls that during an interview with BTS Reality, Priscilla Ojo once spoke about growing up without her dad.
When asked if she ever dealt with depression because of the missing father figure in her life, she disclosed that she initially had daddy issues. She then noted that her mother filled that void for her very quickly, saying, “My mum filled in every gap…my mum did everything perfect”.
“I will say maybe I had daddy issues in the sense that I just wanted that love. I felt like my mum filled in every position so it’s just like when you see online and you want that daddy, but to me, I feel like my mum literally did everything perfect.
Going further, she mentioned that she has never seen her mother cry because of how they tend to deal with their struggles in other ways privately.
She said, “I have never seen my mum cry. We have never had moments when we are crying. We are very strong, my mother is very strong and I learned from her. Even when I go through something, she can never see me down. We have that spirit, that energy of not in this house. I can be on my bed crying, once she comes in, I am dancing and she knows.“
