FCT Infrastructure: Wike Hails Local Contractor For Having Faith In Tinubu’s Govt

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has hailed a local contractor, Abdul Val Constructions Limited, for showing  faith in the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the overall infrastructural development of the nation’s capital.

While speaking during the commissioning of Karu Township Roads Project on Monday, Wike praised the contractor for demonstrating confidence in the president and showing an unalloyed commitment to work even when he was not initially paid.

The FCT Minister said; “I have seen that whether the money is there to pay you or not, you will never abandon the site,” the minister noted.

“You will continue to work and say ‘Mr Minister, I believe in this government of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and I know at the end of the day, I will be paid,” Wike said.

Meanwhile, the inauguration of Karu Township Roads Project on Monday marked the 14th day of the ongoing project inaugurations in Abuja, a landmark programme the minister earmarked to mark the three years of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

The exercise has seen either Vice President Kashim Shettima or the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio — both representing President Tinubu — commissioning various projects in Abuja, which underlines the efforts of the minister to reposition the nation’s capital to align with major capital cities in the world.
