Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has suggested that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, could make waves in the music industry if he ever chose to switch careers.
Naijaonpoint reports that the hip-hop star revealed this in a tweet over the weekend.
He said that Wike’s vocal tone carries something unique that caught his attention.
“I wish say Wike dey do music. I hear something in his vocals. I’m not joking”, he wrote on his X handle.
During his tenure as Governor of Rivers State from 2015 to 2023, Nyesom Wike gained attention for regularly performing with a live music band.
Following his appointment as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, he moved the band to Abuja, where they have continued to perform at official events.
At the recent commissioning of the collector road linking Mabushi to the Judges’ Quarters in Katampe, Wike publicly pledged to raise the salaries of the band members.
The band has become known for catchy tracks that often go viral, including titles like As E Dey Sweet Us, Agreement Is Agreement, and Biggie Man.
Meanwhile, Afrobeats singer Stanley Omah Didia, popularly known as Omah Lay, has declared himself the greatest artiste of his generation.
The 28-year-old Rivers-born singer revealed this on Thursday night in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
The ‘Soso’ crooner stated that he may not have evidence now, but his future work will speak for him.
He wrote: “HI GUYS! MY NAME IS OMAH LAY AND I AM THE GREATEST OF MY GENERATION, I DON’T HAVE PROOFS RIGHT NOW BUT THERE WILL BE A LOT IN THE FUTURE. THANKS. YOURS TRULY, BOY ALONE.”
