The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has expressed doubt about whether he can ever become a Pastor.

Naijaonpoint reports that Wike made the remark on Wednesday, during the commissioning of the Ikot-Esu-Otomo-Azumini road in Akwa Ibom State,  where he appealed to Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State to continue praying for him, admitting that he does not have the calling to be a pastor.

The former Rivers State Governor urged Eno to embrace forgiveness in his leadership, noting that it is a mark of strength and not weakness.

“Continue to do good, forgiveness is not a weak point, rather it’s strength. It doesn’t matter what happens, relate with people who have helped you before, it does not mean that you are weak but you have taken a decision to move Akwa Ibom forward and that’s the decision that I will continue to support you,” Wike said.

Wike, in his characteristic candour, admitted that while Governor Eno has been called to minister God’s word, he himself does not share the same grace.

He said: “But all those you relate with, continue to give them their respect, you are a humble man, you are a man of God and allow those of us… the truth is that me, I don’t know if I can be a pastor.

“It takes a man of strong character and continue to pray for me because God has given it to you, but me, I will continue to support you.

“So, you that God said you should be praying, pray while I will continue to support you. The politics I believe is that you do for me, I do for you, you fall for me, I fall for you.”
