FG Approves ₦1 Billion For Police Training Institute In Jigawa

The federal government has approved the sum of one billion naira for the commencement of the construction of the police training institute at Kafin Hausa local government in Jigawa State.

The chairman of the Senate Committee on Police Affairs, Abdulhamid Madori, disclosed the development while speaking at the Jigawa State Government Citizen Engagement Programme (JSGCEP) held at Kafin-Hausa on Sunday.

He explained that the Senate has already passed the law for the establishment of the institute in Kafin Hausa and the funds approved in the 2025 budget.

According to him, “the construction of a police training institute in Kafin Hausa has undergone all processes and been passed into law by the senate and waiting for president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s accentuation for immediate commencement of the project”.

He said the aim is to enhance police responsibility for better and up-to-date policing in the country.

“As part of our commitment to enhancing security, we also donated a brand new Toyota Hilux to the Kafin Hausa local government divisional headquarter and renovated police barrack to motivate security operatives in the area,” Madori said.

The senator expressed his gratitude and happiness to the people of Kafin Hausa for the warm reception during the visit and engagement forum.
