The Federal Government will hold a three-day citizens’ engagement and tour of projects in Enugu and Ebony states,

 South-east region.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, disclosed this at a  news conference  on Wednesday night in Enugu.

According to him,  the essence of the activities is to interact directly with citizens and showcase ongoing projects of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration.

Idris who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr Chinasa Ogbodo, expressed delight to meet with journalists  in Enugu.

“Our team consists of officials from the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation and its  agencies, members  of the National Communications  team  and executives  of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR),

“Others include, Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON) the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) and the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

“We will embark on a tour of ongoing and commissioned projects of the Federal Government and those of the  government  of Enugu State.

“After the tour of projects, the team will host a ‘Citizens Engagement Forum, to rub minds and get feedback from various stakeholders in Enugu  state.

“This pattern will be repeated in Ebonyi,” Idris said.

The minister  restated the commitment of the current administration,  to equal opportunities, development and provision of dividend of democracy to citizens across the country. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
