THE Vice President Kashim Shettima has announced the Federal Government’s intention to set up a Presidential Initiative on Youth Enterprise Clusters, with a projected cost of N110 billion.
He revealed this during a gathering to mark the 2024 World Population Day at the Banquet Hall of the State House in Abuja.
Shettima highlighted President Bola Tinubu’s commitment to incorporating young people and women into governance.
He clarified that the Presidential Initiative on Youth Enterprise Clusters differs from the Youth Investment Fund sanctioned by the Federal Executive Council, which also received N100 billion in allocations.
The Vice President underscored the need for accurate information stressing the significance of data in population planning and development.
The Minister of Youth Development, Jemila Ibrahim, echoed the government’s plan to establish a national youth development bank to enhance capital accessibility for young Nigerians.
She noted that the initiative aims to foster youth entrepreneurship, with the ministry’s role being to establish conducive conditions and opportunities for the youth to thrive.
