A recent clash between farmers and herders in Kano State has left five people injured.
A counter-terrorism expert, Zagazola Makama in a post on social media said the incident occurred in Ungogo Local Government Area.
The incident was said to have happened at about 2 pm on Friday, August 8, 2025, in Sabon Gida Minchika village.
Confirming the incident, the Kano State Police command said the victims – Abubakar Muhammad, Nasiru Miko, Umar Usman, Umar Sale, and Anas Usman – are all from the same village.
The police also said that the victims of the clash sustained serious injuries in the fracas.
They have been taken to the Ungogo Primary Health Care Centre for treatment and have since been discharged.
While stating that the situation has been brought under control, the Police also admonished all parties involved to refrain from any form of action that could escalate the situation.
The police also said that normalcy has been restored and the area has remained calm since the attack.
