THE Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the redeployment of Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, to the Delta State Police Command.
Adejobi, who was recently promoted from Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), will now head operations in one of Nigeria’s most strategically sensitive commands.
He first assumed the role of Force PRO in an acting capacity on February 16, 2022, when he succeeded then Commissioner of Police Frank Mba, and was later confirmed by former IGP Usman Alkali.
Police authorities explained that Adejobi’s transfer is a routine exercise in line with the career progression of senior officers, stressing that ...ing is neither punitive nor controversial.
According to sources at Force Headquarters, his wealth of experience in public relations, strategic communication, operational management, and community policing made him a strong fit for the new assignment.
As DCP Operations in Delta, Adejobi will be tasked with coordinating security efforts, addressing violent crimes, and strengthening police-community relations across the state.
