Three stocks returned the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange to positive territory on Tuesday, June 3 by 0.65 per cent.
FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc rose by N5.92 to close at N66.60 per share compared with the previous day’s N60.68 per share, Air Liquide Plc grew by 83 Kobo to N9.08 per unit from N8.25 per unit, and Geo-Fluids Plc jumped by 14 Kobo to N2.78 per share from N2.64 per share.
At the close of business, the market capitalisation went up by N12.31 billion to N1.913 trillion from N1.901 trillion and the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) gained 21.02 points to finish at 3,267.77 points compared with Monday’s 3,246.75 points.
Data indicated that the market participants traded 1.3 million units of shares yesterday, higher than the 360,218 units recorded in the previous day by 246.9 per cent, transacted securities valued at N22.9 million compared with the N16.9 million, indicating a 35.4 per cent growth. These transactions were carried out in 40 deals compared with the 33 deals recorded a day earlier, representing a 21.2 per cent rise.
Impresit Bakolori Plc ended the session as the most active stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with 536.9 million units worth N524.7 million, followed by Air Liquide Plc with 507.1 million sold for N4.2 billion, and Geo-Fluids Plc with 268.3 million units valued at N475.2 million.
Also, Okitipupa Plc was the most active stock by value on a year-to-date basis with 153.6 million units worth N4.9 billion, trailed by Air Liquide Plc with 507.1 million traded for N4.2 billion, and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc with 38.4 million units valued at N1.5 billion.
