Fubara Knows What To Do To Avoid Impeachment – Wike’s Aide

The media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, Lere Olayinka, has said Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, knows exactly what steps to take if he wishes to avoid impeachment by the State House of Assembly.

Naijaonpoint reports that Olayinka made the remark during an appearance on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Wednesday, amid the ongoing political tension rocking the oil-rich state.

Dismissing claims that his principal was orchestrating moves to unseat the governor, Olayinka insisted that the impeachment process was strictly a legislative matter.

“It is not Wike who is behind Fubara’s impeachment move but the House of Assembly,” he said.

He argued that political survival requires strategic thinking and calm, not public outcry.

“If Fubara doesn’t want the impeachment, he knows what to do. This is political navigation. He should know, and not to come and be weeping,” Olayinka added.

The political feud between supporters of Wike and Fubara has escalated in recent months, with multiple court rulings, protests, and conflicting claims of loyalty within the State Assembly.
