Special Adviser to Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, Darlington Orji, has stated that the impeachment move against his principal will not scale through.
Naijaonpoint reports that Orji made this known during an interview on Arise Television’s Morning Show.
Orji explained that the impeachment against Fubara will fail because there is no truth in the allegations raised against the Governor by the State House of Assembly.
According to him, only the Assembly can explain Fubara’s misconduct and the alleged financial misappropriation.
He said, “I can tell you for free that this process will not scale through because there is no truth in it. And like you said, it is only them that can interpret when there is misappropriation or gross misconduct.
“Yes, because you will also agree with me that so many courts in the land too have also ignored so many impeachment processes because they didn’t follow the procedure.
“So for us, what I can tell you, I’m not a member of the House, but I can tell you because I’m on ground, I can tell you because we reached out to so many of them. Many of them are my friends, and we have always worked together before now.
“This process, they are not happy on what they are doing. And I’m sure that before the end of the day and within the upper week, this process will be completely put to rest.”
