The Senate confirmed their appointments on Wednesday after a closed-door screening session focused on national security reforms and improved coordination within the armed forces.
Last week’s shake-up came amid rumours of an attempted coup, which the Defence Headquarters dismissed as “false and mischievous.”
Officials clarified that the changes were routine and part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s military command structure.
