Following his dramatic announcement last week that Monday, Labor Day, would be his last show on Hot 97 at 7 p.m., it seems Funkmaster Flex is staying with the radio station but has a brand new timeslot.
“This Monday, Labor Day, September 1st, [will] be my last show on Hot 97 at 7 p.m.! All things come to an end! End of an era that I enjoyed very much! I super enjoyed it all! I will make the last show a great one! Appreciate everyone who has supported me over the years!” he wrote via his social media.

After doing some digging, TMZ confirmed that Flex’s new timeslot will be from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
However, Hot 97 did part ways with another legendary DJ, DJ Enuff.
“I’m off the air. It’s time for a new chapter,” he told TMZ. “I don’t think Flex is going anywhere. Flex is staying. He’s just going to a new shift.”
Enuff seemingly implied that Flex was the reason for his shock exit.
“I don’t deserve that from him,” Enuff added. “He gave a lot of us the opportunity to do what we got to do.”
