Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has proven herself to be a generous aunt, as evidenced by her grand gesture to Toke Makinwa.

The filmmaker, who was one of the many guests at Toke’s daughter’s dedication, was captured in a trending video gifting the media personality bundles of cash.

In the clip, Toke was seen on the dance floor as Funke joined her, holding several bundles of cash, which many claimed to be worth N1 million. Funke, who is known for being a good stepper, joined Toke on the dance floor before gifting her the cash, and the two hugged.

The sweet gesture from Funke isn’t surprising, as in the middle of the year, she gifted her colleague, Iyabo Ojo, a new iPhone. Sharing a clip of the phone, Iyabo hailed Funke as a talk-and-do friend and described her as the real MVP.

In May, Kamo State stirred the internet with his heartfelt appreciation epistle to Funke. The proud father narrated how the mother of two tried to help his wife give birth to their baby in the United States of America, got them the best medical facility in Nigeria, and gave his wife her driver and full security.

In another post, he appreciated her financially sponsoring his child’s naming ceremony. Raining prayers on her, Kamo revealed that the actress refused to let him spend a dime from his pocket.

In different news, actor Monsuru Ayanfe had shared his experience working with Funke. He recalled Funke’s behaviour toward him when he crashed her car, which left him shocked. He described the filmmaker as someone who gets angry easily but apologises when she is calm.

Veteran actress, Tola Oladokun praised Funke, recounting how she got in contact with her and crediting her with helping her career. She also recalled how she missed her first opportunity to work with Akindele but was given a second chance and has now gotten more opportunities with her.

Yoruba actress, Debbie Shokoya had expressed gratitude to Funke for promoting her movie. Describing Funke as an amazing woman, Debbie revealed that this was the least Funke had done for her, but she promised not to cast it.

Actress Kudirat Ogunro had appreciated Funke Akindele for her motherly love. She appreciated the famous actress’s prayers and said the filmmaker wouldn’t be missing.

Nkechi Blessing had praised Funke, hailing her for being a force, unstoppable and undefeated. She appreciated Funke for believing in her, even though she had been distant, as she made it clear that she didn’t take her love for granted.

Funke is currently the Queen of the box office as her Cinema movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa became the highest-grossing film of all time in West Africa with 1.6 billion. The filmmaker undoubtedly beat her previous record for A Tr!be Called Judah, which grossed over N1.4 billion.
