Galatasaray have given Victor Osimhen just seven days to decide whether he will commit his long-term future to the Turkish champions or return to parent club Napoli when his season-long loan expires, Soccernet.ng reports.

According to A Spor, Osimhen has been told by Galatasaray that he has a week to make up his mind about staying or leaving, so that the club can craft the summer’s transfer plans.

With the Nigerian striker at the centre of one of European football’s most intriguing transfer sagas, the club’s hierarchy have set a strict deadline to learn where their top scorer’s loyalties lie.

Osimhen has lit up the Süper Lig since arriving on loan from Napoli, spearheading Galatasaray’s title charge and endearing himself to fans.

Yet behind the scenes, negotiations have stalled. Club sources tell Turkish daily Sabah that no formal proposal matching Osimhen’s expectations has yet been tabled, despite the striker’s agent holding talks with Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal and Neom FC over a reported $40 million-per-year deal.

Napoli, meanwhile, remain adamant that any permanent switch must meet the €75 million release clause embedded in Osimhen’s contract. The Italian side have demanded the fee up front, leaving Galatasaray weighing how to raise the funds without sacrificing reinforcements in key areas, notably goalkeeper and attacking midfield.

Osimhen himself has yet to communicate a definitive response.

As Galatasaray reporter Yakup Çınar revealed on the Yeni Açık YouTube channel as per Habersarikirmizi,

“He still hasn’t received the offer he was expecting, and he hasn’t held any formal meetings with the club’s management. The Saudi proposition is real, but Victor is waiting for something from Europe.”

According to Çınar, Juventus have made an enquiry, but Osimhen is “more inclined to stay at Galatasaray than move to Turin.”

Meanwhile, the striker is believed to harbour Premier League ambitions, with Manchester City, Chelsea and Barcelona monitored as potential suitors.

Osimhen has already played for clubs in Germany, Belgium, France and Italy, with England and Spain yet to be conquered by the Nigerian striker.
