Record Turkish Super Lig Champions Galatasaray are looking to make two offers in January for two Super Eagles stars in a bid to bolster their current squad, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Cim Bom Aslan splashed €75m to secure Victor Osimhen’s services from Napoli in the summer, and are looking to add Raphael Onyedika and Ademola Lookman to their ranks after the AFCON 2025 tournament.

Okan Buruk’s side are currently three points clear at the top of the Turkish Super Lig. However, they want to compete in the UEFA Champions League, and need strength in depth to stand a chance.

Galatasaray want two Super Eagles: Onyedika and Lookman

During the summer transfer window, the Turkish club enquired about Club Brugge midfielder Raphael Onyedika.

The 24-year-old supposedly gave Gala a positive answer and was set to head to Turkey, but both clubs failed to reach an agreement regarding the transfer fee.

Five-time DFB Pokal winners Eintracht Frankfurt also expressed interest in the Super Eagles star in that time, while West Ham United have already rekindled interest.

Concerning Club Brugge and Galatasaray, the Belgian side are demanding 25 million euros for Onyedika, while Galatasaray plans to finish the transfer with a two-stage offer.

Okan Buruk’s side instead submitted a loan offer of €5m, including a mandatory purchase option of €15m to be paid at the end of next season.

For Ademola Lookman, reports in both Italy suggest Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe have stepped up their interest in the pursuit of the 2024 CAF Player of the Year.

Galatasaray also inquired about Lookman’s services from Atalanta, but the Italian club was demanding too much, which put Galatasaray off.

According to Ekrem Konur, Galatasaray have made Raphael Onyedika and Ademola Lookman their top transfer priorities.

While both players might be interested in making the switch to Turkey, a move in the January transfer window doesn’t seem feasible.
