Galaxy M14 5G nears launch with 25W charging support

The Galaxy S23 series may be the talk of the town but Samsung also has a host of other budget and mid-range models in the pipeline. It recently launched the Galaxy A14 5G and is gearing up to add more models to its 2023 Galaxy A lineup in the coming months. Simultaneously, the company is also working on multiple new Galaxy M series devices. The Galaxy M14 5G recently passed through the FCC on its way to launch.

The new Galaxy M series model appeared on the FCC database with the model number SM-M146B/DSN (via). This confirms dual-SIM support on the handset. The FCC documents further reveal that the Galaxy M14 5G will support 25W fast charging with PPS (Programmable Power Supply) and USB-PD (Power Delivery) technology. Samsung may not supply a charger in the retail box, though.

This is pretty much all we can take away from the FCC certification for the Galaxy M14 5G. However, the device previously appeared on the popular benchmarking platform Geekbench revealing an Exynos 1330 processor under the hood. Samsung is equipping the phone with 4GB of RAM, though there may be more memory configurations. The device will ship with Android 13 out of the box.

Samsung has yet to say anything about the Galaxy M14 5G. But this phone has already picked up regulatory approval from India’s BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards). We may soon see it go official in the country. The Galaxy M13 5G was launched in July last year, though. So you never know. We will let you know as soon as we have more information.

The Galaxy M14 5G may see a limited release

Samsung’s Galaxy M series offers similarly-specced phones as Galaxy A, but often at a lower price point than a comparable Galaxy A model. The company cleverly cuts some corners to make these devices more affordable. You get pretty much the same core specs and features, minus a few premiums or extras. The result is some compelling budget and mid-range smartphones.

However, unlike the Galaxy A series, these phones see a limited release. Samsung only sells them in price-conscious markets such as India and Latin America. We expect things to be no different with the Galaxy M14 5G. It may arrive in select countries in Asia, Europe, and Latin America but we have little that the company will release this phone in the US. Considering the latest developments, we shall find out soon.
