Former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, on Thursday, attended a critical stakeholders meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
The meeting represents the first significant political meeting to be attended by Ganduje since resigning as the APC National Chairman in June 2025.
Naijaonpoint reports that the Kano APC meeting, which was held behind closed doors, also had in attendance several party stalwarts, including Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, Senator Kawu Sumaila, members of the House of Representatives, as well as both former and current political officeholders.
While the agenda of the meeting has not been made public, it is understood that the focus of the meeting is to strengthen the party’s position for the upcoming 2027 general elections.
In other news, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed the statement by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) that President Bola Tinubu would be a one-term president.
The Lagos State chapter of the APC described the ADC statement on Tinubu’s presidency as laughable, idle talk.
The party, in a statement on Wednesday by its spokesperson in Lagos State, Seye Oladejo, mocked the ADC as a party which has never won a national election and may never do so in the near future.
He said the ADC is already on political life support and may fizzle out very soon.
The Lagos APC added that President Tinubu has performed brilliantly within his time in office and Nigerians are pleased with the reforms being implemented by him.
Oladejo added that the recent victories of the APC in the bye-elections across the country are a testament to the fact that Nigerians have accepted Tinubu and the APC.
