Genocide: I’ve Never Seen Anything Like It’ – Moore Speaks On Terrorist Attack On Christians After Visit To Nigeria

Riley Moore 20230308

Leader of the United States delegation on fact-finding of alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria, Riley Moore, has described the stories of killings in Nigeria as heartbreaking.

Recall that Moore, who led the US delegation on fact-finding about Christian genocide in Nigeria, arrived in the country on Sunday.

During the assignment, Moore led the delegation to Benue State, where he had a one-on-one with victims of the killings.

In a post via his 𝕏  handle on Thursday, Moore said they heard heartbreaking stories from survivors of the horrific genocidal campaign committed by the Fulani radicals, including a woman who was forced to watch as five of her children were killed.

Moore also expressed optimism that the US government will work with the Nigerian government in a coordinated and cooperative manner to end the slaughter of innocent Christians in the Middle Belt and stop the ongoing terrorist threat in the Northeast.

The US Congressman added that the sights and stories heard will stay with him for the rest of his life.

Moore said, “I just returned from a Congressional delegation to Nigeria with the House Appropriations Committee.

“While there, we visited Benue State. We met with Bishops Anagbe and Dugu and Tor Tiv. We met with suffering IDPs who are all Christians. They are forced to live in camps that are regularly attacked by Fulani Islamic radicals.

“We heard heartbreaking stories from survivors of this horrific genocidal campaign committed by the Fulani, including a woman who was forced to watch as five of her children were killed.

“I am working on a report to President Donald Trump that will outline a path forward to work with the Nigerian government in a coordinated and cooperative manner to end the slaughter of innocent Christians in the Middle Belt and stop the ongoing terrorist threat in the Northeast.

“I’ve never seen anything like it. It will stay with me the rest of my life. We will brief the President soon. More to come.”
