Ghulam Nabi Azad targeted Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi: Ghulam Nabi Azad, who was associated with the Congress for five decades, targeted Rahul Gandhi as soon as he resigned.

Ghulam Nabi Azad had created a sensation in the political circles by resigning from the basic membership of the Congress yesterday, in a letter to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, he explained the reasons for his resignation.

In which he said that Rahul Gandhi’s leadership has been childish and frivolous, Congress has lost two Lok Sabha elections under his leadership.

The Congress has also interpreted Azad’s resignation as selfishness and opportunism.

Soon after Azad’s resignation, several senior Congress leaders from Jammu and Kashmir also sent their resignations to the party president.

Recently nominated Jammu and Kashmir Congress President Waqar Rasool Wani commented on Azad’s resignation saying it will not affect the country’s oldest party.

He said that he had met Azad two days ago but he did not give any indication that he was leaving the party.

According to Indian media reports, former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Ghulam Nabi will announce his new party in a public meeting in Azad Jammu.

According to sources, he will reach Jammu on September 4 and a big rally will be organized in the city the next day in which he will announce his party.
