Back in September, we’ve exclusively revealed the design of the Pixel 9a. We’ve shown the device in CAD-based renders. With that being said, the Pixel 9a prototype has just surfaced… again. The first one appeared back in August.
The Google Pixel 9a prototype has reared its head yet again
Two images are included in the gallery below, showing the phone from both front and back sides. You’ll notice that Google’s logo is not included, but a placeholder logo. This is common practice when it comes to prototypes.
You can clearly see that the display is flat here, while a display camera hole is centered up top. The sides of the device are flat, as is the device’s back side. Two horizontally aligned cameras sit in the top-left corner of the phone’s back, while an LED flash is placed next to them.
The cameras on the back seem to be flush with the backplate, or very close to it. All the physical buttons are placed on the right-hand side, though they’re not clearly shown in the provided images.
The device will launch in four color options
Google’s upcoming mid-ranger will be available in four colors, which is also something we’ve revealed. The device is coming in Iris, Obsidian, Peony, and Porcelain color options.
The Tensor G4 chip from Google will fuel this smartphone, while the device will include a 6.3-inch panel, most probably. That will be an OLED display and offer a 120Hz refresh rate. 8GB of RAM is also expected.
The phone will ditch a 64-megapixel camera and replace it with a 48-megapixel snapper. A 13-megapixel ultrawide camera is also expected to be included on the back of the device.
This smartphone will become available sooner than expected. It will become available to pre-order in mid-March 2025, so that’s when the launch is expected as well.
