The Plateau State Government has announced the closure of some roads within Jos and Bukuru to ease the visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, scheduled for Saturday.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Commissioner for Information, Joyce Ramnap, said the restrictions were necessary to facilitate the President’s attendance at the burial of Nana Lydia Yilwada, mother of Prof. Nentawe Yilwada, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ramnap explained that the measures were designed to ensure a smooth flow of traffic and guarantee the movement of the Presidential entourage.
She advised motorists to use alternative routes from 7 a.m. on October 4, 2025, and appealed to residents for their cooperation and understanding.
