The governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani on Friday, October 31, paid a courtesy visit to the immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa.
The governor congratulated Musa over his commendable service to Nigeria during his time in the military and as the nation’s CDS.
Sani also commended the former military chief for his bravery, professional conduct, and commitment to his responsibilities in leading the Nigerian Military.
Describing him as an admirable native of Kaduna State, Governor Uba said General Musa served Nigeria with honour and excellence.
In a statement shared on his X account, Sani said, “Today, I paid a courtesy visit to our distinguished son and patriot, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd), to personally congratulate him on his successful and meritorious service to our dear nation as Chief of Defence Staff.
“General Musa served with uncommon courage, professionalism, and integrity; qualities that have earned him the respect and admiration of Nigerians across all divides.
“His tenure as the nation’s Defence Chief was marked by a deep sense of duty, strategic leadership, and unwavering commitment to the unity and security of our country. Kaduna State remains immensely proud of its outstanding contributions to national peace and stability.
“On behalf of the government and good people of Kaduna State, I extend our profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for finding one of our own worthy of such an exalted and sensitive national assignment. This singular act reflects Mr President’s inclusive leadership and his trust in the competence and patriotism of Kaduna State’s finest sons and daughters,” Sani said.
The Kaduna State governor also prayed for continued strength, wisdom, and fulfilment for General Musa as he transitions to the next chapter of service to the nation and humanity.
“Kaduna State will always hold him in the highest esteem as a symbol of dedication, courage, and excellence in public service,” Sani added.
Recall that General was relieved of his duty on October 24, 2025, following President Bola Tinubu’s elevation of Olufemi Oluyede, a former Chief of Army Staff as the new CDS.
Other service chiefs appointed by the president include Emmanuel Undiandeye, a lieutenant general, as Chief of Defence Intelligence; Waidi Shaibu, a lieutenant general, as Chief of Army Staff; Idi Abbas, an Air Vice Marshal, as Chief of Naval Staff, and Sunday Aneke, a Rear Admiral, as Chief of Air Staff.
