Governor Dauda Lawal has reshuffled the cabinet in Zamfara State.
NaijaOnPoint Nigeria reports that Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal has reshuffled his cabinet and sworn in a new commissioner as part of efforts to strengthen governance.
During a meeting of the Zamfara State Executive Council on Monday, Kasimu Sani Kaura was sworn in as the new Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, succeeding Mahmud Mohammed Abdullahi.
The reshuffle also saw Nasiru Ibrahim Zurmi appointed as the new Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, taking over from Kabiru Moyi, who now heads Project Monitoring and Implementation.
Additionally, Dr. Nafisa Muhammad has been moved to the Ministry of Health, while Dr. Aisha M. Za Anka has been assigned to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
The governor emphasized the importance of performance and efficiency among his appointees and has directed all handover processes to be completed within the next seven days.
