Former Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Political Matters, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has stated that the present administration has denigrated Nigeria.
He stated this during an appearance on Arise Television on Friday, while speaking about the United States’ intervention in the country’s insecurity situation.
Baba-Ahmed lamented that Tinubu’s administration has handed Nigeria over to the United States.
The former aide said Tinubu’s government has pitched the citizens against each other and virtually turned Nigeria into a colony.
He noted that a team, which had previously visited Nigeria to investigate alleged genocide against Christians, intensified its efforts, approaching the US President.
According to him, the group’s aim, influenced by the American far-right and powerful Nigerian lobbyists in the US, appears to be to denigrate Nigeria, sow discord, and essentially relegate Nigeria to the status of a colony.
The former Presidential adviser said, “I’m shocked regarding the perceived handing over of Nigeria’s sovereignty to the United States.
“I view the documents detailing actions by US Congressman, Riley Moore, as egregious violations of Nigeria’s sovereignty, integrity, unity, internal affairs, security, and way of life.
“Nigeria should condemn this situation unequivocally. The current administration is seen as having surrendered Nigeria to the Americans.”
