According to journalist Sacha Tavolieri on X, Anderlecht tendered their first bid on Monday. They offered Goztepe €3.25 million for the 21-year-old midfielder, but the Turkish club have rejected the offer.

Dennis is valued at €4 million on Transfermarkt, but Goztepe would surely want higher before they let him leave. As such, they are prepared to hold out for a bigger fee.

Last season, Dennis was instrumental for Goztepe, featuring in 32 Super Lig games. He earned a reputation as a intelligent defensive midfielder with the energy and doggedness to cover every blade of grass.

His brilliance in the Super Lig even earned him a place in Nigeria’s provisional list for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in March. But he did not make the final cut.

He is touted as a potential replacement for Wilfred Ndidi in the Super Eagles. If Dennis continues to improve at his current rate, he could become an important player for Nigeria in a few years.
