GTBank to Close Branches Early Today for Half-Year Audit

GTBank branch

The management of Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) Limited has disclosed the lender would close its branches across Nigeria earlier than expected today, Monday, June 30, 2025.

In a notice to its customers, the financial institution explained that the decision for this is for its half-year audit.

Banks operating in Nigeria, especially those listed on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Limited, audit their accounts two times a year.

Their financial statements are scrutinised by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). The audits happen in June and December.

In the message forwarded to its customers, GTBank noted that its branches in Lagos would be closed at 3 pm, while others will shut their doors at 2pm.

However, the company assured that all its alternative channels for financial transactions would remain active, advising customers to rely on them.

“Please be informed that our branches nationwide will close to customers early on Monday, June 30, 3035, for our half-year audit.

Kindly note the early closure time at upcountry branches is 2pm, and for Lagos branches is 3 pm.

“We encourage you to take advantage of our secure, convenient and always-on alternative channels for any of your banking needs,” the notice stated.
