Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has no plans of coaching at another football club when he eventually departs the Etihad Stadium, Soccernet.football reports.

Guardiola has enjoyed a hugely successful stint as City boss since his arrival in 2016, winning 6 Premier League titles, 3 FA Cups, 4 EFL Cups, 3 Community Shields, 1 Champions League crown, 1 UEFA Super Cup and 1 FIFA Club World Cup.

The Spaniard has reaffirmed his commitment to City, stating he will stay even if the club faces relegation amid financial breach charges. Guardiola, who signed a new contract in November, has also ruled out managing another club team in the future.

“I’m not going to manage another team,” he told Andalusian chef Dani Garcia in an interview on YouTube this week.

“I’m not talking about the long-term future, but what I’m not going to do is leave Manchester City, go to another country, and do the same thing as now.

“I wouldn’t have the energy. The thought of starting somewhere else, all the process of training and so on. No, no, no. Maybe a national team, but that’s different.

“I want to leave it and go and play golf, but I can’t [if he takes a club job]. I think stopping would do me good.”

Guardiola was reportedly one of the options considered as a potential replacement for Gareth Southgate as England boss before the FA eventually chose former Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel.

South American giants Brazil were also in the running to secure the services of the highly successful City boss, but he ultimately decided to remain at the Etihad, extending his deal until 2027.
