Pep Guardiola has been named Premier League Manager of the Month for April after guiding Manchester City through a flawless run that included victories over Arsenal, Chelsea and Burnley.
City beat Arsenal 2-1 in a title clash, swept aside Chelsea 3-0 and defeated Burnley 1-0 to seal a perfect month. The award is Guardiola’s 13th, leaving him third on the all-time list and two short of Arsene Wenger’s tally of 15. Only Sir Alex Ferguson, with 27, has more.
It is Guardiola’s second monthly award of the season after his February triumph and the first time in a year a manager has won the prize more than once in a campaign since Nuno Espirito Santo achieved the feat with Nottingham Forest in 2024 and 2025.
City could yet complete an awards double, with Rayan Cherki shortlisted for Goal of the Month.
Meanwhile, Morgan Gibbs-White has been crowned Premier League Player of the Month after a decisive spell that helped Nottingham Forest pull clear of the relegation zone.
The Forest captain scored four goals and added an assist across three matches. His standout moment was a 15-minute hat-trick in a 4-1 comeback win over Burnley, followed by a goal and assist in a 5-0 demolition of Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. A 1-1 draw with Aston Villa capped a month that left Forest six points clear of danger with three games left.
He becomes only the second Forest player to win the honour after Chris Wood.
Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo completed the April awards sweep by landing the Creative Moment of the Month prize following his dazzling solo run in Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Brentford.
