Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama Leagues ranked ahead of Ghana Premier League- Report

The Ghana Premier League (GPL) has been ranked bottom of the World’s Best Men’s Football League according to the latest rankings published by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS). Scroll down to view the full list of the IFFHS Rankings.

The IFFHS delivered the results based on data collected from the period between January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025.

The rankings was based on data collected off a Weighted Points System, Club Performance Data including performance in international competitions across the aforementioned time period.

Ghana’s elite club football competition ranked bottom of the top ranked national football leagues after picking up 155,75 points. This represents a decline in rankings as Ghana was ranked 92^nd in the world at the end of 2024.

The GPL ranked behind the likes of Guatemala (65^th), Nicaragua (55^th), Panama (98^th) and Venezuela (67th) in the world respectively.

In Africa, the top five spots are occupied by Egypt (16^th in the world), Morocco (39^th in the world), South Africa (45^th in the world), Algeria (46^th in the world) and Tunisia (51^st in the world).
