Gunmen on Sunday invaded a drinking joint and abducted a popular port Harcourt big know very well in the town axis of port Harcourt behind 99.1FM Radio station.
A source who lives near the area said the person abducted last night at about 10p.m is popularly know as Mazamaza or Chairman of Town Area United.
We also gathered that His friend whom he sat out with to cool off the evening by taking some drinks. Mr. Charlie Wamate was later taken to the Police but was released and the source confirmed that Mr. Wamate gave statement to the Police while Mazamaza whereabout remains unknown and is still with his abductors
However the news about Mazamaza kidnap has sent fears around the areas with residents saying if If they can Kidnap Mazamaza, then nobody is invincible because the man we are talking about is a senior man also known as king of ‘boys’
The sources on Monday evening also confirmed that the kidnappers have established contact and demanding money running into millions.
The mazamaza is from Abonnema, Akuku-Toru LGA his real name is Ibibia Georgewill
The Rivers State Police Command is yet to make any statement regarding this incident as WhatsApp message sent to the Rivers state Police Image maker Grace Iringe-Koko was yet to be responded to as at the time of this report.
Residents also appealed for the need to increase security network in the main town area of Port Harcourt to curb raising criminal activities
