Halle Bailey’s Baby Daddy DDG Shoots His Shot At Newly Single Sasha Obama, 24

Sasha

Happy Birthday to that girl—Sasha Obama! The youngest daughter of forever FLOTUS Michelle and cool dad-in-chief Barack Obama just turned 24 on June 10, and the internet (well, at least the grown corner of it) paused for a moment to send love to the low-key style queen.

And while Sasha keeps her life very private (seriously, she’s allergic to the spotlight and basically a ghost on social media), that didn’t stop a whole lot of noise from happening in her IG comments—especially thanks to one very thirsty celebrity dad.

Enter: DDG, aka Halle Bailey’s baby daddy, rapper, YouTuber, and professional clout-chaser. The same DDG who’s made a career out of dating high-profile young women and being just problematic enough to trend. He decided to hop into the birthday festivities by dropping a string of heart emojis, fire symbols, a birthday cake, and (here’s where it gets messy) a pair of eyeball emojis.

Translation? He sees her. And apparently, he wants her to see him too.

Let’s just say… the comments section got a little uncomfortable. Sure, Sasha is beautiful, smart, and living her best post-grad life in L.A.—but DDG? We’re gonna need him to sit this one out. Or at least keep it respectful. Sasha reportedly broke up with her boyfriend recently, and while we all love a hot girl summer, we don’t need it co-starring someone who thrives off Hollywood chaos.

Luckily, the real story isn’t about some rapper fishing for attention—it’s about the sweet, heartfelt birthday messages Sasha received from her iconic parents.

Michelle posted an adorable throwback-style vacation photo of the family—Sasha in a neutral tube top and flowing skirt, serving grown and graceful energy—along with the caption:

“Happy birthday to my sweet girl, Sasha! Can’t believe how quickly time has flown. I’m so proud of the woman you’ve become. Love you always!”

Barack, always the proud dad, added:

“Watching you grow into the incredible woman you are has been a true gift. I’ll always be proud of you and will always be here for you.”

Cue the collective awwws.

Now based in Los Angeles with her older sister Malia, Sasha is reportedly pursuing further studies while living a relatively low-key life—despite her famously powerful last name. Malia, for her part, has been thriving as a filmmaker and creative, recently debuting a short at Sundance and working with Nike.

Michelle recently opened up about the girls’ journey into adulthood, saying they’ve embraced their independence—but not without the usual parent-daughter push-pull. (Stars, they really are just like us.)

So while the Obamas continue to serve elegance, class, and deep family vibes, we hope Sasha enjoys her moment—sans drama.

And to DDG and others lurking in the comments: this is not the place. Please and thank you.
