The Minister of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa, has hosted her predecessor and former Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, in her office in Abuja.
Musawa, who shared pictures from the visit on her Facebook page, said it was as a historic opportunity to leverage foundational wisdom to advance the sector under the federal government’s developmental agenda.
“Today was a special one for me as I welcomed my predecessor, mentor, National icon and father figure, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, to my office.
“For those who know Baba, you know he is a reservoir of knowledge and experience. Every conversation with him is an opportunity to learn, reflect and gain fresh perspectives on how we can continue to take Nigeria’s arts, culture and creative economy to greater heights.
“Since I assumed office, Baba has remained a strong source of support, guidance and encouragement. His continued interest in the work we are doing means a great deal to me, and it was an honour to receive him today.
“I remain grateful for the wisdom of those who have walked this path before us and for the opportunity to build on the foundation they helped lay for the future of Nigeria’s cultural and creative industries,” she posted.
