The Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has announced that he remains loyal and committed to the Labour Party (LP).
The governor disclosed this while speaking at an interactive session with Abia State Global Economic Council members in Umuahia.
He stated that he has not attended or been invited to any meetings organised by the coalition group.
Otti asserted that he is busy doing the work given to him by the Abia people and not looking for where to decamp to.
While reacting to the claim of a crisis in the Labour Party, the Abia State Governor said yes, the party had a problem, and fought through the Supreme Court to retrieve the party.
He said, “I am still a member of the Labour Party, I am not looking for where to decamp to.”
Responding to those asking about the coalition, Otti replied, “Have you seen my name? Have you seen me attending any coalition meeting? We are busy with the work that the Abia people have given us. We are not attending any coalition meeting. Nobody has invited me, and I am happy where I am. You don’t run away from a problem and pretend to have solved it.”
