Social media users are reacting to a trending report of fast-rising singer Asake parting ways with his boss, Olamide, and his label.
According to reports online, Asake’s contract with Olamide’s YBNL expired and when Olamide presented Asake with a new contract, Asake refused to sign. Olamide tried everything in his books to renew his label death with Asake but all his efforts were futile as Asake declined.
The report claimed that two weeks ago, Asake walked out completely from the deal and rather chose to be his own boss. This has left Olamide searching for new artists.
To add to it, he has unfollowed every one on social media and has removed YBNL from his Instagram bio.
The news has left many divided as while some praised Asake, others slammed Olamide.
