Actress Doris Ogala has claimed that popular cleric Pastor Chris Okafor offered her $10,000 to falsely assert that certain pastors sponsored her to attack him and to later retract her previous statements.
In a video shared online, Ogala displayed bundles of cash that she said amounted to $10,000. She explained that the money was given to her in two installments: $5,000 the previous night and another $5,000 shortly before she recorded the video.
She alleged that the cleric urged her to shift the blame onto other pastors. “This is $10,000. He wanted me to claim that all the pastors, or a few pastors, sent me to fight him,” Ogala said. “You want me to take the fall and make a fool of myself after everything I have said?”
The actress emphasized that she would not accept this money as a transaction or inducement. She clarified that she intentionally collected it to prove that her allegations were true. “I took this money to show you all that everything I’ve said is the truth,” she stated.
Ogala also alleged that the cash was delivered in a Zenith Bank envelope and provided what she described as call logs and timestamps to support her claims, noting that the video was recorded on December 23 at approximately 5:39 PM.
Additionally, she denied allegations of drug use, stating that she only smokes cigarettes, and challenged the police to clarify claims about items allegedly found in her residence.
