The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has melted hearts with adorable videos of himself and his first son with ex-wife, Queen Naomi, Prince Tadenikawo.
In one of the videos making the rounds online, the monarch, who recently celebrated Tade’s 5th birthday, was captured carrying his son as he bid his mother farewell.
In another clip, Tade was seen holding on to his father’s staff as he rained prayers on him, calling him his joy.
The video has evoked strong emotions, with many expressing that the Monarch still loves his ex-wife.

Last month, the Ooni had celebrated the 5th birthday of Tade. He described him as his beloved son, stating that in him, he sees the promise of tomorrow, and, the continuation of their sacred dynasty. Raining prayers on him, the Ooni said Tadenikawo is a gift, a legacy, and a testament to God’s grace.
For his 3rd birthday in 2023, the Ooni had reunited with Naomi to celebrate him. In photos that made rounds online, the Ooni was captured with Naomi in the palace as they celebrated their son’s birthday.
The ex-couple reunited again with their son for the opening of a project in Akure, which is Naomi’s hometown. Queen Naomi, alongside her son and other wives of the monarch, were present at the event. In one of the clips, the Ooni was captured talking to Naomi as she held on to their son.
Recall that in December 2022, Olori Naomi surprised many when she announced the end of her 3-year marriage to the monarch in a statement on her Instagram page.
Speaking on her divorce, the mother of the crowned Prince, ruled out the possibility of returning to the palace, as she noted how the monarch now has six wives. She said that though there were sweet moments in her marriage, there were also bitter moments, and she was too innocent and soft when she got married. But, she has learned now that life isn’t like that.
Also speaking on his crashed marriage in October, the Ooni noted how people mocked him and said there was no respect for a king who had no queen, which made him call on God and ask questions. Ooni claimed that God told him to put his mind at rest and fast forward to now, he has Queens everywhere in the palace.
