Sanrio’s Hello Kitty and Friends franchise is known for its adorable characters and style, and its latest video game collaboration might be its cutest yet. The beloved line of characters has its own hit game with Hello Kitty Island Adventure, but the cute white cat and her friends are about to make a return to another video game, where they haven’t appeared since their last crossover event on December 14, 2021.
The Hello Kitty characters have made their way to Toca Boca World on October 7, bringing with them one of the franchise’s most adorable crossover events to date. Well-known Sanrio faces and designs are available in the form of in-game furniture items, clothing, food, and other playful goodies. And, for the first time ever, the collaboration includes Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, and Keroppi.

Toca Boca World is the massively successful, ever-growing mobile sandbox title for kids and adults alike. Parents may remember the brand as one their kids grew up on (mine did!), but the expansive Toca Boca World is a place for all ages. There are over 90 locations, 500 characters, many minigames and scenarios, and endless decoration and design possibilities for your avatar and their environment.
The new Hello Kitty collaboration is adding even more fun and whimsy to Toca Boca World. The collab includes 67 clothing pieces inspired by Hello Kitty, Kuromi, Keroppi, Cinnamoroll, and Pompompurin, so you can dress up as your favorite Sanrio character.
Decorate your virtual space, too, with 133 furniture and decor items, from an adorable Keroppi chair to a Kuromi couch. Plus, snag 10 free gifts over the course of the month for taking part in the collaboration.
The Style Pack and Furniture Pack will be available starting on October 7, which will also launch a month-long collaboration event on Toca Boca World.

Hello Kitty is no stranger to video games, often appearing in collaborations in a huge range of games. The character’s own Hello Kitty Island Adventure game recently got a new DLC that’s been “perfect for fall, with fields of grain, shades of yellow, orange, and purple, and a magical undercurrent,” according to our review of the Wheatflour Wonderland DLC.
Hello Kitty’s last foray into Toca Boca World was a huge success, with over 50 million fans getting the 2021 pack to use in their in-game homes and avatars. The two are a perfect stylistic match, with the cute avatars and art style of Toca Boca World making it a fitting canvas for Hello Kitty to appear on.
In a press release, Mathilda Engman, Head of Creative & Brand at Toca Boca states that “Toca Boca World and Hello Kitty are a natural fit—two globally recognized brands grounded in creativity, playfulness and self-expression.” The result speaks for itself: One of Hello Kitty and Friends’ cutest video game collaborations to date, and a chance for kids and adults to have some fun with their favorite Sanrio characters in a new way.
