Hershel Walker slammed by son after being reported to pay for abortion

Herschel Walker, the GOP nominee for a US Senate seat in Georgia, has been criticized by his son on social media after publishing a report alleging he paid for an ex-girlfriend’s abortion.

The Republican nominee and former NFL star, who has made his opposition to abortion rights a central campaign theme, vehemently denied the claim on Twitter and promised to file a lawsuit after The Daily Beast published an article on Monday claiming he was a ex-girlfriend paid to have an abortion in 2009. His son Christian Walker soon weighed in, accusing his father of “lying” and “violence” in a series of tweets.

“I know my mother and I would really appreciate it if my father Herschel Walker would stop lying and making fun of us,” said Christian Walker. tweeted. “You weren’t a ‘family man’ when you left us to beat a bunch of women, threatened to kill us and moved us six times in six months fleeing your violence.”

“I don’t care about someone who has a bad past and takes responsibility,” he said continued. “But how DARE you to lie and pretend to be a ‘moral, Christian, sincere man’.” “You’ve lived a life DESTROYING other people’s lives. How dare you.”

Christian Walker too tweeted that “every family member of Herschel Walker asked him not to go to the office” because of his past, but “he decided to give us the middle finger and air all his dirty laundry in public, all the while lying about it at the same time.

“I’m done,” added the Republican candidate’s son.

About an hour later, Herschel Walker gave a straight answer to his son’s comments, tweet “I LOVE my son no matter what,” without responding to specific allegations.

The Daily Beast reported Monday that a woman who wished to remain anonymous claimed that Walker had urged her to have an abortion and later paid for the procedure. The woman reportedly gave the outlet a $700 personal check from Walker, a get well card from him, and a receipt from the abortion provider as proof of her claim.

Walker, who is staunchly against abortion and has called for a national ban, responded to the claim by calling it “a new attack from the Democrats” and a “flat lie.” He promised to file a lawsuit against The Daily Beast on Tuesday morning.
