Nollywood actress Iheme Nancy has declared her support for former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
Naijaonpoint reports that the screen diva said she is ready to campaign for him anytime, even without payment.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, the actress said she normally stays away from politics but will make an exception for Obi.
According to her, she is willing to campaign for him for the sake of her unborn children, her family, and her entire generation.
Iheme also reacted to the criticism directed at Obi, saying the “hate” may be proof that he is doing something right.
She wrote: “I don’t usually do this, but I am going to campaign for Peter OBI anytime any day….. if there’s anyplace I need to register for his campaign, please involve me cause I will do it for free, for my unborn children, for my family, for my generation, Why the HOTE???? That means he’s doing something right 1700 … I don’t do politics but I will involve myself 100 when is time. #dropmic”
Meanwhile, Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie, has called for the South-East to be given a chance to lead Nigeria in the next presidential election.
Naijaonpoint reports that he shared his opinion in a video posted on his Instagram page.
The filmmaker urged Nigerians to support the idea based on fairness and balance among regions.
Edochie, who has been vocal in his support for President Bola Tinubu, surprised many with this position.
He had consistently urged citizens to remain patient with Tinubu’s leadership and the current economic challenges, often assuring that the country would soon see the results of the reforms.
