He’s My Son You Know – Wizkid Beams With Pride As Boluwatife Tops Charts With Debut EP

Tife

Nigerian music star Wizkid’s first son, Boluwatife Balogun, known as Champz, has launched his first music project.

Naijaonpoint reports that the 14-year-old singer released a five-track EP titled Champion’s Arrival, marking his entry into the music industry.

The EP quickly climbed charts, reaching the top of Apple Music Nigeria less than five hours after its release, making Champz the youngest African artiste to achieve this milestone.

It also appeared in music charts across 16 countries and reached number 71 on the UK Apple Music Top Albums chart.

Champz’s project contains no guest features, focusing entirely on his own voice and creativity.

In his song Superstar, he reflects on early heartbreaks and talks about his hopes for the future, including showing love to his children one day.

Despite critics labeling him a “nepo baby,” Champz insisted the lyrics are entirely his own work.

The young artiste announced the release on social media, sharing that his debut EP is available on all streaming platforms.

Reacting to his son’s feat, Wizkid responded with excitement, saying, “We love it man, he’s my kid you know!”

Boluwatife is the first son of Nigerian music icon Wizkid and Shola Ogudu.

At the age of seven he launched his own children’s fashion line, Czar & Czarina, and later moved into music.
