Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has been left fuming after her daughter, Simi, pulled a prank on her.
Kemi Filani reported a few days ago that the controversial singer had turned a new age.
To celebrate her mother’s birthday, Simi had pranked her with fake birthday gifts. The actress’s daughter had ordered frames of herself, making her mother believe the frames belonged to her. On opening it, Laide realised that the frame belonged to her daughter and was left fuming.
Simi explained that she wanted her mother to have pictures of her daughter, as a good mother would.
Fuming, Laide vowed to enter the same trousers with her.

Kemi Filani reported days back that in a recent chat, Laide revealed that she was the one who first introduced her daughter to clubbing and alcohol at age 17.
The shocking revelation didn’t sit well with social media users, who mercilessly dragged her.
Reacting to the backlash, on her Instagram page, Laide said she didn’t introduce her daughter to alcohol but only took her to a club. She explained that it was to give her a bit of exposure towards the future, and she isn’t as bad as people think.
In another post, she made it known that she and her daughter are innocent and she never introduced her to alcohol.
Last month, Laide went all out for her daughter as she turned 17. To celebrate her new age, the actress threw a lavish birthday party at the Oriëntal Hotel, Lagos, which was attended by the likes of Biola Bayo and Ayo Olaiya.
One of the event’s highlights was when Similoluwa gave her speech at her party, breaking down in tears as she spoke about her mother. She praised her mother for being strong and the best, and noted how Laide went the extra mile, despite the economy, to make her happy and give her her heart’s desire.
On Simi’s birthday, Laide had appreciated her daughter for being a good girl. She noted how her daughter is a better version of herself as she appreciated her for always supporting and learning from her without doubt.
