According To NewsVista Reporter, former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has accused former President Donald Trump of attempting to cover up documents linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The remarks came during an interview with the BBC in Berlin ahead of her scheduled congressional testimony.
Clinton called for the full release of remaining records, saying, “Release the files. They are slow-walking it.” Last month, the U.S. Department of Justice published over three million documents, images, and videos tied to Epstein, who died in jail in 2019. While the files mention both Hillary and Bill Clinton multiple times, no evidence has implicated them in criminal activity.
The Clintons have been summoned for closed-door depositions before the House Oversight Committee, which is reviewing Epstein’s connections to influential figures. Hillary insisted the testimony should be public and fair, adding, “We have nothing to hide.” She also accused Republicans of deflecting attention from Trump, whose name also appears frequently in the documents.
Bill Clinton has confirmed limited flights on Epstein’s plane for humanitarian work but denied visiting Epstein’s private island. Hillary said she had no meaningful contact with Epstein and met Ghislaine Maxwell only a few times.
She is scheduled to testify on February 26, with Bill appearing the following day.
