“I remember I was singing at the deepest and the top of my voice. I remember I was crying so deeply like I didn’t mind that my maid and domestic workers were around. I was telling God it’s either you take my life at this moment or you fulfill that promise which you have promised me. If there is anything positive about my life that is remaining I think this is the time.

I cried and told God I was tired. I knew how many medical checkups I had gone through. I know the amount of surgeries I have had. So, if this thing will still happen, I told God to let it happen. If it’s not going to happen He should kill me”.

Kemi Filani reported in November, last year month, Dayo welcomed a baby boy, Oluwafirewamiri. Noting how her treasure had arrived, Dayo expressed gratitude to her Maker as she expressed how excited she was to be a mum.

Following her son’s naming ceremony, Dayo had responded to those querying her over her son’s father, as she questioned if their husbands were missing. The movie star further expressed joy at finally being called a new name and someone’s mother.

In December, days before Christmas, Dayo had shared her testimony. She recounted her ordeals and revealed that she wanted to be a complete woman, but she had 3 miscarriages. She recalled how her ex-husband abandoned her because of her battle with infertility and got someone else pregnant.

On Christmas Day, Dayo shared photos of her and her newborn son in matching outfits, as she stated that she had done so many wrongs, but one thing she had done right was having him. Calling him her treasure, Dayo described her newborn son as her best gift ever, her joy and complete blessing. She prayed that she and his father be a living example to him.

The birth of Dayo Amusa’s son’s no doubt shut down false narratives about her. For years, the Yoruba actress was subjected to mockery online over her inability to have a child. Last year, she had laid heavy curses on those who mocked her for being barren, for supporting 2023 APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
