The 38-year-old is only missing the European Championship from his glittery trophy collection ahead of Germany’s home tournament.

Neuer, a World Cup winner in 2014, has made a miraculous comeback to the top following a near career-ending injury in December 2022.
Germany’s No.1 spent almost an entire year on the sidelines after breaking his leg in a horrific skiing accident.
Neuer only returned to the pitch in October – his first match in 350 days – but he is still between the sticks on home turf at the Euros.
How many Euros has Neuer played at?
Neuer is making his international swansong in his fourth European Championships.
The goalkeeper has played in every major tournament for Germany since 2010 having made his senior international bow the year before.
Neuer was too young to be part of Joachim Low’s squad for Euro 2008 in which Die Mannschaft narrowly lost in the final to Spain.
However, Jens Lehmann’s international retirement after the tournament opened the door for him to be called up.
Injuries saw the then-Schalke star installed as Germany’s No.1 for the 2010 World Cup and the infamous Frank Lampard ghost goal.

Neuer had to wait another two years for his first taste of the Euro’s, but couldn’t prevent a semi-final exit to Italy in 2012.
He scooped an abundance of trophies at Bayern and even a World Cup before another last-four exit – this time to France four years later.
His most recent outing at the UEFA tournament saw Germany fall 2-0 to England at Wembley during the last-16 stage of Euro 2020.
Having not played for his country since 2022 due to injury, Neuer has one final chance to claim the one trophy that has eluded him.
